Honestly the only real criticism for the iPhone 16 is 60hz other than that its just personal opinion.

To me it’s just like my iPhone 13 but a little bit faster and smoother to use, siri is also pretty efficient, I noticed a lot of lag and more bugs happening with the 13 once I updated to ios 18
The iPhone 15s are better

The iPhone 16 is honestly the best basic iPhone Apple has ever made. It’s the closest we’ve ever had to a “Pro”. I have always bought the Pro version since the iPhone 11 but this year I really couldn’t justify it since the regular 16 is so close to the Pro. Sure A.I. has a lot more baking to do, but the regular 16 is far from a dud.
I switched from the 13 Pro to the 16 Pro Max simply because I was out of storage with 128 gigs and my battery was starting to not last honestly day-to-day use. I can’t really tell much of a difference when it comes to speed connectivity, and all that The phone definitely does get better reception and I get two days of battery life before I have to plug it into the charger, which is significantly better than my 13. Pro was other than that I can’t tell much of a difference between the two. I think a lot of the reason you don’t see too much Difference year to year is because phones are kind of tapped out on what we can do with them right now all phone makers can really do is improve the camera improve battery life and maybe make it a little faster. You’ll never be able to tell in real world you slow unless you’re like a heavy gamerhonestly to me. It doesn’t really make sense for phone makers to keep making new phones every year. it’s not really necessary anymore and it’s not really worth getting a new phone anymore unless your battery is pretty much done.
